Parent-Teacher-Student Association

Another successful phonathon was held in September and thanks to the many parent and student volunteer callers, many of our Reynold’s parents were contacted. And the response has been generous! As of early October, over $21,000 has been deposited with thousands of dollars in pledges received during the phonathon.

Much of the phonathon’s success goes to Scott Richardson, who, again this year, will give a $25 gift certificate to the Village Tavern for every $100 donation. As an extra incentive, a $300 donation gives you four gift certificates. If $30,000 is raised by December 15, Scott will give every teacher and staff member a gift certificate, so please mail in your pledges before that date.

Donors of $200 or more are placed on the Principal’s Circle list. Mr. Elrod will host a reception in late winter for these contributors.

The School Improvement Team has made a list of needs which these funds can provide for our children:

*A $10,000 matching grant for the Media Center

*Projector for power point presentations

*Improvement of intra communication equipment

*4-5 new IBM computers

*6 overhead projectors

*Media Center software upgrade

*2 CD players

*30 dictionaries for the English Department

*English-Spanish dictionaries for the ESL students

*12 55gallon trash containers for the commons area

If you have not yet sent your pledge or donation, please do so today! Send your check payable to RJRHS PTSA Attn: Fund Raiser Committee. If your employer will match your gift, please enclose your employer’s matching gift form.
