Dear Reynolds High School Supporter:

     On behalf of the RJR BOOSTER CLUB, we would like to welcome you to the 2001-2002 school year, and tell you about all the wonderful opportunities to get involved.  The Booster Club needs volunteers and donors to contribute to the success of our athletic programs and to the positive experiences of our student athletes.  We support all the Reynolds's athletics, the Cheerleaders and Dancing Boots.  This includes over 400 students and represents approximately 25 % of the student body.  With a larger student body than ever before, and proposed budget cuts to high school  athletic programs, your support at all levels is needed.  In the past year, the Booster Club funded several projects and ongoing activities, which include:  *large portable team tent for all outdoor sports   *2 giant team flags used at many of the sporting events    *ongoing improvements to the weight room in the gym *providing a Demon blanket for each senior athlete   *new hurdles for the track team     *lights for the lacrosse field     *the annual spring RJR Sports Banquet     *team trophies awarded by coaches    In addition, this summer, we purchased a commercial refrigerator and freezer for the Deaton/Thompson concession stands in order to cut down on food waste & comply with the Health Department. 

      The Booster Club's key goals are to foster school spirit, improve the usability and appearance of our playing facilities, and to fund projects that benefit our student athletes on all teams.  While we realize that many sports raise money on their own to fill team needs, the Booster Club tries to enhance our programs in a way that will benefit the most students and fans, and help in areas that individual teams could otherwise not afford.

     This year we again have a wonderful opportunity with a great benefit for you.  We welcome all levels of membership at RJR, from individual memberships of $15.00 and up.  However, if you become a member of the CHAMPION'S CIRCLE at the $250.00 level, you will receive 2 PASSES admitting all your immediately family for all RJR regular season home games (except football since it is the only sport where we have to share gate receipts with the other schools.) Talk about a good deal !! In addition, if you join the Champion's Circle by August 2 (Open House), we will include a free calendar featuring all the sports schedules, Booster Club and PTSA dates and other school information. We encourage you to take advantage of this great benefit and to attend as many events as possible.

     We have enclosed a membership form and volunteer interest sheet.  Please keep in mind all of our student athletes and their positive experiences at Reynolds as you select your membership gift level, and as you volunteer to help us support our teams. We encourage you to return both forms indicating both your financial support and how you wish to assist as a volunteer.  Do Demons !!
